The Terrebonne Economic Development Authority (TEDA) was created by The State Legislature and operates within a partnership among the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, and the South Central Industrial Association (SCIA) to attract and retain jobs to the parish by implementing the economic development strategic plan created by the founding stakeholders. TEDA accomplishes its mission by strengthening Terrebonne’s economic base through business retention and expansion and through the attraction of new business and industry to the Parish.
In order to enhance our national ranking for quality of life through economic development, TEDA will engage its strategic partners in a collaborative effort using specialized staff and technology to become the leading economic development organization for marketing/recruitment and business retention/expansion in the State of Louisiana.
